This was a nice surprising mix of tower defense and Rpg. The beginner suggestion for a character is a mage so that's what I've played so far. The tower defence part is relatively simplistic yet functional you build defences to keep the enemy horde, coming from almost all angles I might add, at bay. Your character can cast it's attack to help ward off the ones that get past the defences. It's a quick learn and honestly you can build up your weaponry and defences rather quickly. The challenge here is that some enemies are immune to certain attacks thus you need supporting towers. The waves go from simplistic to Psychotic from 20 badguys of about the same type to hordes of all sizes.
For a playstation network game this was a surprising joy as the game is easily picked up unlike some of their other titles which if you're not used to the game you have a hard time understanding how the flow of the game works. This game isn't completely based on skill alone if you can build up your attack as well as your abilities the strategic gameplay isn't completely necesary. Also the vice versa is true as well. you can build up the tower stats which share your stats and do just as well. I tend to play down the middle and alot of the pick ups you find give you a great chance to up your attacks and defences as part of the armor bonuses.
