• The Original Sony Playstation was supposed to be a cd drive for nintendo's Super Nintendo entertainment system but the deal fell through
• The Konami Code Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A Start works on almost every Konami game (some variations apply) but has different results.
• Super Mario was based on Nintendo Ceo Matsimoto's college landlord
• The Sega Dreamcast was never advertised until after it was released for 2 months
• Kratos from god of war's original design was to be a centurian with a sword and sheild
• Capcom is known for it's cross overs but several other game companies do it as well just in different style of games other than fighting.
• The Konami code is also the most well known videogame code in the world, it has appeared in cartoons, movies and comic books.
• Recent Street Fighter Character Sheng Long is a case of mistaken history. In Street Fighter 2 Ryu is quoted for saying "You must get past Sheng Long to defeat me". People took this as Sheng Long being Ken and Ryu's Sensei but the original translation was to mean "you must get past my Dragon Punch to defeat me".
• Most game series are actually alot further along than we are aware of because not all sequels of a game come over to the United States from Japan.
